Safety and Health Management

Safety and Health Management

At Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha, the safety and well-being of each child are our top priorities in all daily care and educational activities.
We take thorough measures for security and disaster preparedness, and carefully manage the health of every child. Creating an environment that parents can trust is central to our approach.

Security and Disaster Preparedness

  • Evacuation Drills (Conducted Monthly)
We hold monthly drills simulating various situations, such as earthquakes, fires, and intruders. Staff carefully guide children in both English and Japanese so that they understand the situation and can evacuate calmly.
  • Regular Inspections of Firefighting and Building Equipment
To ensure safety, all equipment is inspected at least once a year.
  • Annual Pediatric First Aid Training for All Staff
All staff receive annual training in child-specific first aid, including CPR, AED use, and response to choking, to be prepared in case of emergency.

Disaster Response

  • Ensuring Communication
In the event of a disaster, we will provide updates on the school’s situation as much as possible via the communication app and ClassDojo. If there is a communication failure, we will also use the disaster message dial (171).
  • Childcare Until Safe Handover
Staff will continue to care for children responsibly until they are safely handed over to their parents.
  • Designated Evacuation Site
If necessary, children and staff will safely evacuate to Kashiwanoha Elementary School, the designated evacuation site.

Health Management and Hygiene Measures

  • Health Checkups (Twice a Year) / Dental Checkups (Once a Year)
Regular health checkups are conducted at the school to monitor each child’s growth and overall health.
  • Measurements (Monthly)
Height and weight are recorded regularly to track each child’s development.
  • Dental Guidance (Once a Year, Ages 4–5)
Once a year, dental hygiene students from Apollo Dental Clinic visit the school to teach children in the 4–5-year-old classes about proper tooth brushing and oral health in a fun and engaging way. Through play and hands-on activities, children learn the importance of dental care.
  • Breathing Checks During Nap Time
Similar to licensed nurseries, children’s breathing is checked at regular intervals during naps.
  • Allergy Support
Children with allergies receive individualized care, including elimination diets and alternative meals. Please consult with us in advance.
  • Daily Disinfection of the School and Toys
To prevent infections, all areas and items used by children are carefully disinfected every day.
