Kinder Class :Tanabata Crafts

In preparation for Tanabata, the Kinder class created Orihime and Hikoboshi decorations, as well as Tanzaku (wish strips)

For the Tanzaku, all classes tried their hand at “nijimi-e” (bleeding ink art)!
As the colors blended and spread across the paper, they created unexpected and beautiful patterns.
The children observed the flow and mixing of the paint with fascination, joyfully saying things like,
“Wow, it’s so pretty!” and “It looks like a rainbow!”

The K2 and K3 classes also challenged themselves with the spattering technique!

By dipping toothbrushes in paint and flicking them with their fingers, the children created soft, speckled patterns that spread across the paper―just like a starry night sky.

They were completely engaged in the activity, enjoying the unique and unexpected patterns that appeared

For the Orihime and Hikoboshi outfits, the children used tissue paper and origami to create their own unique designs.
Each pair of Orihime and Hikoboshi was truly one of a kind! The children also drew the faces themselves, resulting in a display full of personality and charm .

To finish, they wrote their wishes on Tanzaku strips and decorated the bamboo branches with their completed crafts.
We hope all of their heartfelt wishes reach the stars…
