Today, our Kinder class went on a fun trip to plant strawberries. We started by walking to the gardens, where the weather was perfect for the outing. The gardeners gave us a tour and showed us some of the crops they were growing, including peanuts, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes.
At the strawberry greenhouse, the children wore gloves and worked hard planting strawberry saplings. They learned about the process of growing food. Afterward, K2 and K3 had a special tour to see banana trees, grapevines, fig trees, and Japanese pears.
The kids had a great time and are excited to check on their strawberries in November. We hope they’ll be ready to eat by January or February!
