Today, we opened our doors for another fun Beyondia Lounge. We welcomed many faces, old and new, to spend a few hours with us and get a glimpse at the Beyondia experience. The school was transformed into a place for families to come, make new friends, do some fun activities, and spend a some time out of the humid weather.
今日もビヨンディア・ラウンジの扉を開き、楽しく過ごしました。
初めてのお客様も、よく足を運んでくれている方もたくさん遊びに来てくれて、ビヨンディアの雰囲気を少し味わっていただきました。スクールには家族が集まり、新しく友達を作ったり、楽しいアクティビティに参加したり、蒸し暑い日差しから少し離れてくつろげる空間に変身しました。
The Kinder classroom was set up for the guests to run around and let off some steam. There was a whole obstacle course to complete. It started with some skipping stones where the kids had to hop from one to another without touching the ground before crawling through a tunnel and walking carefully on the balance bar. They then had to jump over some hurdles before pushing a big, stuffed train towards the finish line. It was great to see them breathlessly laugh as they enjoyed themselves.
Kinder Classの教室は、子どもたちが元気いっぱい遊べるように準備しました。
障害物コースも用意してあって、まずは地面に足をつかないように「飛び石」から「飛び石」に跳び移ってから、トンネルをくぐり、平均台の上をそろりそろりと歩きます。
その後はハードルを元気よく跳び越えて、最後に大きな列車をゴールに向かって押していきます。
子どもたちが夢中に遊んで、息を切らしながらも大笑いして楽しんでいる姿を見るのはとても素晴らしかったです。
We also offered some new art and craft options for the guests to partake in. One was a craft where crayons, markers, and yarn was used to make a face. The other was a mirror covered in cling film. The little artists could see themselves and make colourful self-portraits on the mirrors using crayons. These crafts are used in the Kinder side as a part of the IB theme of Who We Are so it was nice to see our guests get some IB experience. We ended up with a dozen amazing pictures of the kids. Apart from those, the room was also filled with toys and puzzles for everyone to have a great time with.
また、新しく用意したアート＆クラフトのコーナーも大人気でした。
１つは、クレヨン、マーカー、毛糸を使って「顔」を作って遊ぶクラフトです。
もう１つは、ラップを貼った鏡に、自分の顔を映してクレヨンでカラフルに絵を描くというユニークなものです。これらのクラフトはキンダークラスにおけるIBのユニット『Who We Are（私たちは何者か）』に関連付けて用いられており、子どもたちにとってよい学びの機会ともなりました。
結果として、子どもたちの素晴らしい絵がたくさん生まれ、写真に収めることもできました。そのほかにも、部屋にはおもちゃやパズルがたくさん用意してあり、子どもたちみんなが夢中に遊べる空間にしました。
We read two different stories to the kids. One was a story all about different animals making funny poses. We asked the kids to see if they could copy the animals and so many of them were able to. The other book was the Five Little Ducks. It was awesome seeing the kids sing along as we went through the book. In the end, we got out a big umbrella and sang Rain Rain Go Away while throwing fake rain on the umbrella.
ストーリータイムでは子絵本を2冊読みました。１冊目は、いろいろな動物がユニークなポーズをとっていくお話です。読んだ後に「みんなも真似してみよう」と声をかけたら、たくさんの子どもたちがチャレンジしてくれて大盛り上がりでした。２冊目は『Five Little Ducks（5羽のアヒル）』という絵本です。読んでいくうちに子どもたちも一緒に歌い出してくれて、とても素晴らしかったです。最後に大きな傘を広げ、「Rain Rain Go Away」と歌いながら、フェイクの雨粒を傘に降らせて遊びました。
