At Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha, the safety and well-being of our students is always a top priority. Today, our Kinder friends joined a full earthquake drill to help them learn how to stay safe during emergencies.
ビヨンディアインターナショナルスクール柏の葉では、子どもたちの安全と健康を常に最優先に考えています。本日、Kinderの子どもたちは、もしもの地震に備えて避難訓練に参加しました。安全な行動を学ぶ大切な機会となりました。
The drill started when the principal said there was an earthquake. Right away, the children went under their tables and stayed calm. When the teachers told them it was time to leave, they carefully came out, put on their safety cushions, and walked down the stairs with their teachers. Everyone followed the rules and stayed quiet and focused. We are very proud of how well they listened and followed instructions.
訓練は、校長先生から「地震が起きました」と伝えられるところから始まりました。子どもたちはすぐに机の下に入り、落ち着いて行動しました。先生の指示で避難を開始すると、みんな安全クッションを頭にのせ、先生の後について階段を使って校舎の外へと避難しました。静かに集中して行動することができ、私たちはその姿にとても感心しました。
As part of our safety lessons, the Kinder kids also reviewed the “おかしもち” (Okashimochi) rule. This is a special set of rules all children in Japan learn for emergency situations:
避難訓練の一環として、Kinderの子どもたちは日本でよく知られている「おかしもち」のルールについても学び直しました。これは、災害時に守るべき大切な5つの約束です：
- お（おさない）– Don’t push
- か（かけない）– Don’t run
- し（しゃべらない）– Don’t talk
- も（もどらない）– Don’t go back
- ち（ちかづかない）– Don’t go near dangerous places
After the drill, we sat together and read a story about safety. We talked about each part of the “おかしもち” rule and how it helps protect everyone during emergencies. The kids shared their ideas and asked great questions, showing they are becoming inquirers and thinkers.
訓練のあとには、絵本を読みながらこのルールを振り返り、子どもたちと一緒に話し合いました。それぞれのルールがどう役立つかを考え、子どもたちはたくさんの意見を出してくれました。まさに、探究心を持ち、考える力を育んでいることが感じられました。
At Beyondia, we believe that teaching emergency safety, self-care, and responsibility is just as important as learning math and reading. Today’s earthquake practice helped our young learners become more confident, aware, and prepared.
ビヨンディアでは、算数や読み書きと同じくらい、「安全教育」や「自分を守る力」「責任感」を育てることを大切にしています。今日の地震避難訓練は、子どもたちにとって自信と準備、そして思いやりの心を育てる貴重な経験となりました。
