Kinder Class learns about the Olympic Games

ブログ

Last week, we introduced the Olympic Games to the kids and then watched some Olympic events such as swimming, running events, long jump, gymnastics, etc. The children showed great interest in the topic, so we collectively decided to watch the daily highlights after the morning circle to stay updated. Encouraged by the children’s passion, we began to explore more about the Olympics.

The children learned about the Olympic flag, the Olympic torch, and Olympic medals. Our learning journey was filled with various activities designed to provide the best experiences for the children.

We started with a worksheet activity where the children identified the colors of the rings on the Olympic flag, colored the Olympic torch, and learned to recognize the colors of the medals: gold, silver, and bronze.

The following day, the kids worked at three different stations, each focusing on a craft related to the Olympic Games. At the first station, the children created the Olympic flag by using paper cups to stamp the rings. At the second station, they crafted their own medals, and at the third station, they made the Olympic torch.

We were excited to see the children engage and learn through these hands-on activities, bringing the spirit of the Olympics into our classroom.
