Today, we opened our doors the Beyondia Lounge. We created a warm and welcoming environment for families to come, play some games, make some crafts, and stay out of the terrible weather.
Six families came to spend some time together and make new friends. We set up the P.E. room for the kids to run and play as much as they wanted. It was nice to give them a chance to run around while it was too wet to play outside. There were plenty of books to read in our library. We bought new books in the time since our last lounge and we loved seeing families take their time to find something they enjoyed.
We also had a craft for the families to do. It was a beautiful butterfly craft. Everyone was given paper wings, rolled up card, some stickers, eyes, and antennae. They were told to decorate the wings anyway they wanted before sticking the whole thing together. By the end, we had a ton of amazing looking butterflies.
