Today at Beyondia International School Kashiwanoha, our Kinder class spent the day diving into the world of numbers through hands-on exploration and creativity. The theme of the day was “Numbers”, and students rotated through three exciting learning stations that made math both meaningful and fun.
今日はBeyondia International School KashiwanohaのKinderクラスで、アクティビティを通して、数の世界に楽しく飛び込みました。本日のテーマは「数」で、子どもたちは3つのワクワクする学びのステーションをまわりながら、楽しい形で算数を体験しました。
1. Reading Corner/ 読み聞かせコーナー
At the reading station, children explored books centered on numbers and counting. This activity helped strengthen their number recognition and comprehension skills while building a love for math-themed stories.
このステーションでは、数字の数え方に関する絵本を読みました。子どもたちは物語を通して数字への興味を深め、数字の認識力や理解力を育てました。
2. Addition Station/ 足し算ステーション
In this station, we introduced basic addition using cards with two numbers. Children used blocks to find the total and enjoyed constructing creative structures as they worked out their answers. It was wonderful to see them thinking critically while having fun with materials.
このステーションでは、2つの数字が書かれたカードとブロックを使って基本的な足し算を行いました。子どもたちはブロックを使って合計を求めながら、楽しく学びました。材料を使って考えながら学ぶ姿がとても印象的でした。
3. Koinobori Themed Counting & Number Building/ こいのぼりを使った数あそび＆数字づくり
To connect with the upcoming seasonal celebration, we incorporated a cultural element through koi fish. First, children counted the number of koi and wrote the correct number. Then, they used building blocks to construct numbers from 1 to 10. These activities supported both fine motor skills and numerical understanding.
もうすぐやってくる季節の行事「こどもの日」にちなんで、文化的な要素も取り入れました。最初に、こいのぼりの数を数えて正しい数字を書き、次にブロックを使って1〜10までの数字を作りました。これらの活動は、数字の理解と同時に手先の巧緻性を育むことにもつながりました。
Today’s number-themed stations provided a rich environment for playful inquiry, allowing children to develop early math skills in an engaging and joyful way.
今日の数字をテーマにした学びのステーションは、遊びを通した探究の時間となり、子どもたちの初期の算数力を楽しく伸ばす貴重な機会となりました。
